Can't be too sure. Maybe maintaining the XBL servers were costing Microsoft less profit, hence why they increased the prices.

If you think about it thats less than a dollar per month increase. But its a real corny move by microsoft tbh. As for 360 vs PS3, nobody gives a fuck about nerdsole wars. They both have there ups and downs. Much like anything else in life.
