Xbox 360 owners have been eagerly awaiting the launch of the most popular Xbox One game so far, and now a video showing off the gameplay helps cement the fact that this game really is launching soon.
With two separate delays to the launch of Titanfall on the Xbox 360, there are some out there who are wondering if the game is going to be worth it when it finally does show up. The delays were originally in the name of performance enhancements to make sure the game felt as similar as possible on the two consoles, despite there not being any cross-platform play.
Titanfall on the Xbox One is a fantastic experience despite not having much of a storyline, and we’ve been lead to believe that the Xbox 360 version will have all of the same maps, guns, and features. Bluepoint Games seems ready to launch the game on April 8, but that hasn’t stopped one player from uploading in-game footage before the servers are supposed to go live.
Despite the ludicrously long “optimization” and update process, you can see that this is pretty much exactly the same as Titanfall we’ve seen before. The button symbols are different, and the game is stuck at 30fps instead of hovering around 60 on the Xbox One. The game still appears to be just as smooth and there’s no sign that it will play any differently on Microsoft’s previous generation console.
If you’re not planning on leaving you Xbox 360 anytime soon, and you don’t have a reasonably specced PC to play on, this seems like a perfectly good alternative for those who absolutely must get that Titanfall itch scratched.
