The night of December 24th, 1914 a moment unlike any other took place in a small section of the Western Front during WW1. Bullets stopped being fired, your roots didn't matter, and politics were erased. For almost three days, men from the Scottish, French, and German trenches walked into "No Man's Land" and bonded for Christmas. Those who didn't celebrate Christmas even went to the mass that was held that evening. If only moments like these were more frequent in the inevitable repetition of history.

dont forget the english.
when i saw this in history class the other day, i thought to myself: wow... how can they do that and then the next day kill each other?

the germans started it, in the dark hours of the night. and then, privates went onto no mans land and bonded. if the above rank didnt bond, it was all over and they would start fighting. but that didnt happen

neither side wanted to be in the war...
