It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything to remind us why we should all be excited about the triumphant return of Mario Kart to the land of high definition gaming, but this latest video should bring all of that energy rushing back.
There’s just no other game like Mario Kart, and those of us who put the Wii away already have been feeling that itch for intense animated racing with our favorite Mario character (Yoshi is totally the best, but whoever you picked is cool too). You might have tried to get your fix with Angry Birds Go! but it’s just not the same. We’ve known for a little while now that May 30th was the launch date, and Nintendo even let a select few try the game out at Best Buy locations during E3 last year, but that was a long time ago. With the launch of the game still weeks away, Nintendo has reminded us all why we love this game so much with a new video full of details.
New characters, new Kart modes, and an all new Rainbow Road that is just begging to be raced on. This is the game that Wii U fans have been clinging to their consoles for, and the game that has many others staring at the Buy button on their website of choice to finally give this new console a try. We’ve still got nearly two full months of waiting left to do, with plenty of other games launching between now and then, but this is going to be a big deal for Nintendo as we move into the middle of the year.
