It looks like LG is preparing the whole company for a big launch, but sources reporting to Geek.com claim the name attached to the invitation is a smokescreen for something else.
While Samsung and HTC prepare their for their big spring releases, LG appears to be gearing up for a late summer or early fall launch of the G3. The entire company received an invitation to a training and launch overview event for what LG is calling “B2.” According to our source, the B2 is a code name for another product entirely.

The codename B2 has been used for other LG phones in the past, and since there are no current LG phones named “B” that are in need of a successor, it’s not hard to see how that label would be fake. Coupled with the fact that LG G3 details have already started to leak, it’s not hard to see why the company would want to try and keep things under wraps.
From what we know so far, LG is looking to use a 5.5-inch 1440×2560 display in the G3 with a 13mp camera and the Snapdragon 805 chipset. You can bet we’ll see LG’s Rear Key button layout make a comeback, with the power and volume buttons on the back of the phone under the camera.
As with previous years, LG’s custom software skin will likely be the only thing that holds the G3 back from being one of the best Android phones available.
