Lego has started off the new year with a new toy for your desk, after you’ve put it together of course.
Quite possibly the most popular of our science vehicles that are off visiting other planets right now is the Curiosity rover. While Curiosity is busy driving around and sharing the information it has gathered about Mars back to us, the rest of us are left to stare into the sky and wonder what it would be like to take the trip ourselves. Unless you end up being one of the few who signed up with NASA to take a one way trip to Mars, a vacation on the red planet isn’t likely to be in your future. Fortunately, Lego has your back with the Curiosity kit.

Curiosity found its way onto the Lego Cuusoo website, which is designed to let fans submit designs that might one day get turned into kits. If your design gets enough votes, Lego will consider making a kit and selling it in limited quantities on the Cuusoo website.
The Curiosity design smashed through the goal set forth by Lego, and now the 295 piece kit is available to order for $30. It’s a small kit, and there’s plenty of moving parts arounf the wheels and the arm in the front, making it perfect for desk placement and work avoidance.
