Apple may have only just shipped the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, but it seems the company has at least one more event in store for 2013. According to a new report from AllThingsD, Apple plans to hold a press event on October 22nd to reveal the latest models in its iPad lineup. While unnamed sources claim the event will focus primarily on new iPads, Apple's new Mac Pro and Mac OS X Mavericks will also be discussed.

The news follows recent leaks and rumors, which suggest Apple will introduce a new iPad mini with a high-resolution retina display, upgraded cameras, and the company's 64-bit A7 processor. What's more, Apple's larger iPad model will receive a significant overhaul, making it thinner, more lightweight, and following the iPad mini's design cues.
Historically, Apple has issued press invitations to its events a week ahead of time, so formal confirmation could arrive as soon as next Tuesday, October 15th.
