*UPDATED WITH MY BOX* Murf's 3 red light repair/mod store

I finally got a break in my busy schedule to finish my xbox 360. I'll post pictures tonight.

I am here offering only DM people a 3 red light repair service for the xbox 360.

I will be moving into case modding when I get more time to practice. I have fixed 1 so far, and have another one to do tomorrow.

I am currently testing my fixed xbox, and it has been running for about an hour or gaming with no signs of freezing or red lights.

Or if you don't want to pay for a repair, just sell me the dead xbox 360.

Message me with any questions...

um why not send it to microsoft and get it fixd for free?
Maybe you are like me and have had your xbox since 2005. So the warranty is up.

Or don't want to wait 2-4 weeks.

What stops the xbox they send you from getting 3 red lights and you have to wait another 2 weeks?

Maybe you are sick of the default way your 360 looks and want a change.

Maybe your xbox is too loud and you want it to be quieter when you are playing.

Do you want more reasons?

I can do about 3 xboxs a day. So it can be in the mail the next day if needed.

And sending it to Microsoft costs 125 dollars. I'm not charging anywhere near that.

And it depends on the mod. I don't want to spam this thread with unnecessary posts like this. If you don't want to do it. Then don't do it. I know there are people who have boxes laying around that are dead or are interested in my services.

I'm doing a full case mod on my xbox right now. I'll post pictures when it's finished. It should look pretty tight.

1. xclamp mod prevents from further rrod.
2. Why tell us this and not give us a way to do it.
3. Kids are always in it for the money. Nice summer job.

There are videos all over the internet with how to do it. Some people just don't feel comfortable taking apart their xboxs

Not to step on any toes, but a buddy of mine said that the rrod is caused by the heat sink or some component coming undone from the processor. He said all he had to do was use for electronic adhesive and glue it back down. Just curious if that's true or not.

The heats causes the mother board to bend, and the x-clamps don't have enough pressure to keep the heatsinks down with a good connection to the GPU/CPU. Or there is a solder problem that has worked them loose.

What I do is clean them off, because they did a crappy job of applying silver compound. Put on silver compound, and remove the x-clamps and replace them with bolts that will apply more pressure to keep the connection.

That's cool, pretty much what I thought.

Um, if you get Microsoft to fix it, about $120.00, pretty sure he's charging less. Do the math :)
