Battlefield 4 has plenty of problems these days, but luckily, developer DICE is working to fix things. And they just got another item to add to the list: the “one hit kill” glitch, where players would sometimes get a one hit kill, and sometimes they won’t.
As the video above explains, a headshot gives a damage multiplier of two, which means if a weapon deals 25 in damage, a headshot would deal 50 damage (2x). But sometimes a headshot deals double damage, resulting in a one hit kill.
DICE has acknowledged the problem in BF4 and have said they are looking into it. At first glance though, judging by the video above, it seems that one hit kills result from a shot to the face, not to the head that’s protected by the helmet.
Either way, we’ve experienced this plenty of times in games, and it is frustrating indeed. DICE is looking into the issues, and they’ve revealed that they are also looking into the various sound issues that are found on certain BF4 maps like Goldmud Railway and Lancang Dam.
No release date has been given for the patch, but it’ll likely be deployed before the China Rising expansion pack is released early next month.
