Much like the trading deadline, August "waiver trades" have been a major disappointment so far. We have seen a large number of prospects called up this season, with many of them hitting the ground running. There are a number of major league caliber players awaiting the call in the minors, some rehabbing from injury, others simply working on their game. In the*second of*our two part series, we take a look at talent that may soon get a call to "The Show", with a look at pitching.

Jonathan Pettibone Philadelphia- Pettibone is on a rehab assignment at Double-A Reading, trying to recover from shoulder issues.
Tyler Skaggs Arizona- It has truly been a roller coaster season for Skaggs, not only up and down from the minors, but wildly inconsistent performance.
Trevor Bauer Cleveland- Thought of as one of the top prospects for 2013, control problems have Bauer sliding down many lists.
Ricky Romero Toronto- Romero has struggled trying to find his way back in Triple-A, but the 28 year old was one of the AL's best starters as recently as 2011.
Jake Odorizzi Tampa Bay- Chris Archer is the rookie starter of choice in Tampa right now, but Odorizzi could get another opportunity. Alex Cobb's return doesn't help.
Allen Webster Boston- Along with Matt Barnes, Webster remains a key part of the Bosox future. Some believe his calling may be as a short reliever.
Neftali Feliz Texas- Recovery from elbow woes has been up and down for Feliz, but the Rangers believe he will be part of their bullpen next month.
Michael Pineda NY Yankees- Pineda was shut down early this month when his shoulder flared up. His numbers have been good, his return uncertain.
Kevin Gausman Baltimore- Gausman remains one of the my favorite long term prospects. The O's have skipped a few starts in Triple-A to save innings for next month.
Vinnie Pestano Cleveland- One of the top setup men in the AL last season, its been a long season for Pestano. He did pickup six saves while Chris Perez was down.
Tyler Cloyd Philadelphia- With John Lannan on the DL, Cloyd could get the call. Control problems plagued and otherwise decent half a dozen major league starts.
