Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference, or WWDC, is only hours away from starting off with a Keynote presentation to break down all of the things we can expect from Apple this year. Expectations are high for a new version of OS X as well as a new version of iOS to be announced and demonstrated today, and Apple has made sure the presentation will be streaming live for anyone who wants to take a look.
Will the next version of OS X be called Yosemite? Will iOS finally allow third party keyboards or launchers? Will the two operating systems be visually indistinguishable from one another, save for their existence on radically different screen sizes? There’s no shortage of questions heading into this keynote, especially with so many leaks surrounding a supposed iPhone 6 that will be even larger than its predecessor.
The team at Apple are no strangers to putting on a good show, and today there will be eyes on them from all across the world while they do so. All you need is an Apple product, and you’ll be good to tune in.
Like every other live streaming Apple event, you need some form of Safari in order to tune in. Apple says you need Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later, but you could also use Safari on iOS 4.2 or later to get the job done. Either way, Safari users need only head here to watch the event.
If you’re watching on an Apple TV, you need to have either a Gen 2 or Gen 3 box with software 5.0.2 or later. If you haven’t been doing your updates, today is the day to get yourself sorted out. The presentation starts at 1pm Eastern, or 10am for you Pacific folk.
We’ll be following up after the presentation with everything Apple has announced in case you’re not able to tune in live, so keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the show.
