(Updated*AUGUST 16th) Just because the NFL is a passing league these days does not diminish the importance of RB’s in fantasy football whatsoever.* In fact, RB’s who are of the “three down” variety are the most rare and valuable property in the NFL these days.* The biggest determining factor in a RB’s fantasy value is your league format.* Because teams throw the ball so much these days RB’s who catch the ball out of the backfield are significantly more valuable in PPR formats than those who do not.* Also, if you are in a non PPR league short yardage RB’s who will see goal line touches become usable in certain situations as well.* The following are rankings for a basic league ½ point PPR.*
